Who are we?
We are the Wynnum State School Parents & Citizens Association, a diverse, inclusive and welcoming community of parents, caregivers, educators, and advocates. The Executive Committee members for 2024 are:

Our objectives
Guided by our Code of Conduct ( on the reverse of the membership form), our objective is to create a thriving and inclusive school environment where every child can flourish. We strive to foster a strong sense of community and collaboration, ensuring that every parent, caregiver, and educator has a voice in shaping the educational journey of our students. Through open communication, diverse perspectives, and engaging activities, we work together to support the school's growth, enhance educational opportunities, and nurture a vibrant and welcoming school community.
What we do
Through the P&C's activities, our parents, carers and volunteers play a vital role in supporting various aspects of school life. Some of the areas we contribute to include:
Applying for Grants to benefit the school
Organising exciting events such as Colour Run Fun, Disco, Trivia night to subsidise school much needed resources
Overseeing the operation of the Wynnum Amateur Swim Club (Wynnum Wahoos) to promote enjoyment and skill development in swimming
Operating the Cafeteria (MEGA-Bite) to promote healthy eating habits
Managing the Uniform Shop, providing quality uniforms for our students
In addition to our fundraising activities throughout the year, we also employ a swim coach - Bayside Swim School - to offer Learn to Swim and Squad sessions for our local community.
How to get involved
To become a valued member and actively contribute to our thriving school community, you can fill out the membership form and send to the P&C team at wynnumss.pandc@gmail.com . While we welcome your presence at our P&C meetings, we understand that it may not always be feasible. We host meetings once a month during school terms with in-person and online options. As a P&C member, we kindly request your attendance at a minimum of one meeting, after which your presence at subsequent gatherings is entirely voluntary; nevertheless, we remain committed to keeping you informed by sharing the meeting minutes.
