P&C

Parent involvement in a child's education makes a significant contribution to the child's success at school.

Who we are

Your P&C is powered by passionate and dedicated volunteers who each give generously of their time and talents. We meet in the conference room of the Executive Services building on the 4th Thursday of each month through the school year from 7 pm.

Office bearers of the P&C are elected at the Annual General Meeting held in March each year. The Executive Committee members for 2016 are:

      • President Sophia Holt, President
      • Joanne Niwa, Treasurer
      • Marilyn Myers, Secretary.

      What we do

Through the P&C's activities, our parents, carers and volunteers make an incredible contribution each and every day. Our current services and business operations include:

In addition to our fundraising activities throughout the year, we also employ a swim coach - Bayside Swim School - to offer Learn to Swim and Squad sessions for our local community.

      Why we do it

Our objective as your P&C is, "to promote the interests of, and facilitate the development and further improvement of the school".

Each school year we aim to invest $30,000 towards quality educational outcomes for our students. This means that we purposefully contribute to the cost of additional school resources and learning opportunities.

Your P&C also partners with the Student Council throughout the year to model productive partnerships and support their fundraising efforts.

      How we do it

Our activities, fundraisers, operations and thought leadership are designed to enhance the reputation of the school by providing a valuable service to our families or by creating a memorable experience for all.

How the P&C operates is just as important as what we accomplish and our Constitution and Code of conduct (PDF, 189 KB) have been adopted to aid all members of our school community to work as a well-ordered group.

We respect your choice to be engaged and hope that through our membership, we can offer you the opportunity to be informed of activities, programs and events that are relevant to your child's experience at Wynnum State School.
